The Beach!

Not only did we all survive the trip to the beach but we had a fantastic time!
I was very worried about the kids being in the car for 5+ hours but they were little troupers. We had 3 portable DVD players, aquadoodles, crayons and coloring books, books, dolls, stuffed animals, snacks, lots of Elmo and Winnie the Pooh dvd's, sing along music.....
The best source of entertainment was my SIL Nicole and her little girl, Ella. Izzie LOVES her "Cole" and Ella. Izzie and Ella held hands whenever Iz got fussy. Those girls are way too cute.

We got the van unloaded and went straight to the grocery store for supplies and to get toys for the kids. This is where the kids got a little out of control. They were fresh out of self restraint and were in no mood to be placed in a grocery cart. But let me say, they were soooooo much better than I could've dreamed.

We went out to the beach for a little while when we got back and Jackson loved it, Ella liked it a lot and Isabel, well, she probably could've lived without it. She tolerated the beach that day but was disinterested after that.

Saying that Jackson loved it is an understatement. That kid smiled fron ear to ear the entire time and had to be physically restrained from running right in to the ocean. He is fearless! He was knocked down by a wave and stood up grinning from ear to ear. He was getting handfulls of sand and throwing it back into the ocean. He keeps me on my toes, that's for sure.

Thank you to Gan Gan for wanting to spend your birthday with your 3 grandbabies and their Mommies! We all had an amazing time!!!!!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was a perfect day! My Mom had the celebration at their house and it was amazing. We were surrounded by the entire family - Grandparents, parents, in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers, sisters and the best part was ALL the kids. I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful family not to mention to be "Mommy" to two of the best kids in the world. It was just one of those days you look back on and have to smile. I so love my life.

Happy Birthday Lawson!

We had a great Mother's Day week-end. Saturday morning the kids and I went off to Toys R Us to get a birthday gift for our cousin Lawson. His party was at one of our favorite spots, the McWane Center. Isabel got to go with me to the party while Jackson went off to spend the night with his Nana & Grandpa. It was the first time and I was a little nervous but I'm happy to report that it went great! After the party I dropped Isabel off at my parents (Gan Gan & Papa) because Kevin and I were going out to dinner. It was the first time we'd been out without the kids - ever! We really enjoyed being out again. Thank you grandparents!!!!!

Here'e some pic's from the b'day party and I'll get to Mother's Day soon.
